About the book
The e-book is a comprehensive and practical guide to the science and technology of paints and coatings. The book is based on the Paint and Coating Technology course run by SVEFF since 2016 (originally known as the “Färg and Lack Diplomkurs” and given in the Nordic countries since the 1980s).
The course and book have been comprehensively updated over the years with the latest fourth edition of the book being translated to English, and now published as an e-book.
The e-book covers the entire paint and coating field, from chemistry and raw materials to formulation, manufacturing, application, drying and curing, testing and analysis, coating defects, colour, regulatory (EU) and emerging technologies. It serves as an excellent advanced introduction to the field.
Written by specialists with extensive experience from the coatings industry, the e-book is intended for:
Coating chemists and formulators
R&D and laboratory professionals
Technical and product managers
Raw-material suppliers
Students and educators
Anyone looking for a deeper understanding of modern coating technology.
The e-book can now be purchased directly from SVEFF’s dedicated webpage. Would you like to see what is inside first? The table of contents of the book and a sample of 44 pages of text is available on the webpage for download as PDF files. The complete e-book itself is available for purchase in the EPUB3 reflowable format and is fully keyword searchable.
The publication was made possible through financial support from the Swedish Foundation for Paint and Coatings Research and the Arvid Lindgren's Foundation for Paint Research.
